Another win for the Gold Coast

On the same day as the Commonwealth Games Bid was announced, the Gold Coast had another win, Sally Pearson - world champion hurdler, was named Female Athelete of the World in Monaco, with Usain Bolt winning the Male Athelete of the World, for the 3rd or 4th time.

Sally and Usain were also both named World Youth Champions in 2003.
