Ayers Rock Balloon Release

Yesterday morning, our friends living at Ayers Rock released "white balloons" in aid of - Bone Health.  Their son Mikie was born 3 years ago with permanent Hip Dysplasia and has spent a good part of his life with his hip in plaster, and months in and out of hospital.

Balloon Release Day was an event to help raise awareness and funds to further research into providing better, less painful treatments for children with crippling growth problems like Hip Dysplasia. These balloons are 100% latex, which is 100% bii-degradable, the balloons were all hand tied - no plastic clips, ribbon or string was used.

Above is Daz, Mikie and Lisa with the balloons

ready to be released on a glorious day in the red centre

We purchased some balloons for this release

What a delightful way to raise attention to this situation on bone health.

A big day for Mikie though
