Last night our Paradise Springs Resident Association held its Winter Christmas dinner - the Golf Club decorates the tables, and of course there is the Christmas tree.
Below is moi with some of our neighbours - Suman (sitting next to me) has just retired up here from Sydney - she is a Doctor - but makes a damn nice curry as well. She says she has never had time to cook, and is now getting into it - have to say the dinner she brought across to us one day was delightful - she lives across the Close from us. Frank was off selling raffle tickets - with Bob in the red at the back - guess he took a break for a quick vino!!
Kumi (right) and a couple more from the neighbourhood.
Kumi and Bob have just arrived home from Japan, while we were in Italy they decided to go to Japan, and hold concerts to raise funds for those suffering in Japan - they did very well, and raised quite a bit more than they had expected. We will hear more on Friday night, we are going around for one of Kumi's special dinners. The Golf Club's chef did a great job last night - Pumpkin soup, Glazed Ham and Roast Pork, great roast vegies and all the accompanients, finished up with Christmas pudding, custard and cream. It was a really cold night for Queensland so this kind of dinner was perfect for the occasion and the weather. Oh, I won a lucky door prize - another round of Golf at the Club - worth $90.
