Day 9 - last day on the Gold Coast

Friday morning, we picked up Immy and Ethan to go back to Sea World and catch up on a few things they may not have seen.  Sarah, Ian and Dan stayed home to sort out the packing, have a swim and hopefully relax.

We were met by these characters above - I think they are part of the "Sponge Bob" crew.

Our first stop was into the Dinosaur Experience Exhibition

They loved it

and Ethan is quite knowledgable about them now.

Then we passed the dophin pools

definitely had to have a stop here.

Some people training going on in this pool

Next, back through Dinosaur Island

they roar at you as you walk past

Found this ride below

(l to r) first and fourth

Back to the Helicopter

Immy is not tall enough yet to ride this by herself - so Grandpa accompanied her.

and up high they went.

Immy went riding again

And Grandpa joined them again

on these petite trucks

Next - the Polar Bears

the only ones within Australia

Immy and I were hoping this one would go for a swim

but as Ethan and Grandpa had already left for Shark Bay

we needed to catch up with them
They then spent half an hour or so on this massive exercise marathon climbing, tumbling thing.

A change into their swimmers

for that pirate ride - again

I didn't take too many photos, as you get very wet, and I had decided against that venture today

We caught the Gondola again back to the entrance/exit

The kids tried out the "Foot Massage"

Then we headed to the fishing trawlers

to buy very fresh prawns
which were caught overnight

to take back to the cabin for a very late lunch, and a bottle of white wine to farewell the Kiwi Wroes

They left very early on Saturday morning, and have arrived back in Auckland safely.
They really enjoyed their stay, lovely mid winter weather, loads to do, and also they had plenty of family time with each other.
